Grand Master Eric O’Neal Sr., President and CEO of The LIONMAN Foundation, which promotes excellence in education and discipline in life, and Prime-Cut Productions are in search of The Legend Of LIONMAN, "7 Young American Heroes”. These "7 Young American Hero's" will be chosen from martial artists between the ages of 10 and 17 who are striving to be excellent students as well as disciplined people. The goal of this "American Idol" style martial arts competition is to create young American heroes who will promote the ideals of the LIONMAN Foundation which is to educate one child at a time, while inspiring millions! It is the goal of The LIONMAN Foundation to promote "7 Young American Hero's" as positive role models for America's youth, role models who believe that education makes a difference and that hard work pays off!
The Legend Of LIONMAN 7 Young American Hero's audition, an annual event, will be auditioning martial arts students, ages 10 through 17, at Dawn Strozier's new The Aerobics Room at 3820 Crenshaw Blvd., Los Angeles, California, (for directions call 310-289-2167) from May 21 - 23, 2010. Auditions start at 12:00 noon and will run until 4:00pm. Winners of the auditions will compete at The Legend of LIONMAN finals during the Disney’s Martial Arts Festival on June 19, 2010 at Disneyland® Resort, Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California. The winners of the 7 Young American Heroes will be crowned as Ambassadors of the Martial Arts at the Masters Hall of Fame.
You can become one of the first "7 Young American Heroes" for this season. The top "7 Young American Heroes" will participate in a reality TV Show and they will take part in the new movie, "The Lion and the Dragon", with Grandmaster Eric O’Neal, Sr. and Grandmaster Jim Kelly, from the movie, Enter the Dragon, starring the Legendary Bruce Lee. The "7 Young American Heroes" chosen in Anaheim, California, will receive prizes and scholarships. They will also donate their time and efforts to improve their communities with 100 hours of dedicated volunteer time. The Legend of LIONMAN will be highlighting the "7 Young American Heroes" at schools and special events throughout the United States as well as at martial arts venues everywhere.
This is a very special opportunity for martial arts students from throughout the country to compete and highlight their talents and skills. This event will encourage and engage our youth through the action of martial arts to be the best that they can be, in all aspects of their lives, with a major focus on education and discipline in life.
