The Lionman Foundation is proud to launch The Legend of Lionman and the Seven Kurodos Knowledge is Power 20 City Tour, which will feature American Idol meets Martial Arts Inspiring Education. The 20 City Tour, in partnership with Disney's Martial Arts Festival at Disneyland® Resort, is an exciting campaign that will promote achieving higher education and self-discipline using martial arts principles to youth throughout the country.
The Legend of Lionman and the Seven Kurodos is a graphic novel written by Grandmaster Eric O’Neal Sr. to inspire, uplift and educate millions of children as well as adults all over the world. The 20 city tour will celebrate the unveiling of Grandmaster O’Neal’s graphic novel, which is about a multicultural group of superheroes performing heroic and moral deeds both real and fictional using basic principles of Karate and mastery of academic knowledge. The campaign celebration shall kick off in New Orleans, Louisiana, December, 11 & 12, 2009. On the 11th The Lionman tour bus will travel around the city with Grandmaster O’Neal, stopping at designated television and radio stations and elementary and middle schools autographing his book “The Legend of Lionman and the Seven Kurodos” and posters. There will also be sponsor product giveaways. Grandmaster O’Neal and Disney's Martial Arts Festival at Disneyland® Resort will proudly host The Blue Lion Nationals Title Belt Championship Tournament on the 12th, and Disney will give all 1st place winners authentic Mickey Mouse Ears and an autographed Mickey Mouse certificate. Grandmaster O’Neal will have book signings throughout the tournament, and there will be an American Idol style auditioning for young martial artists to become one of the Seven Kurodos. This event promises to engage our youth and their families by using the excellent physical and mental training skills martial arts provides. Grandmaster Eric O’Neal Sr. believes that if our community engages young people with the right activities and mentors, they will read, comprehend and retain any information given to them. The total rally attendance at the major events scheduled will be in the thousands. Taking into account the various print and video media, your brand will be in front of thousands of people, which serves to increase your recognition as we travel from city to city.
