New Orleans, LA – The Lionman Foundation, spearheaded by its’ President/CEO, Eric “Lionman” O’Neal, Sr., is joining forces with Dr. Corey Hebert, the staff and students of Dillard and Xavier Universities, 100 Black Men of Metro New Orleans, USA Martial Arts.com, the Masters Karate Hall of Fame, United Parcel Service and USA DOJO’s to receive, package and deliver much needed supplies for the international relief effort in Haiti following Tuesday’s earthquake that registered 7.0 on the Richter scale. With much of the country's infrastructure, housing and commercial buildings devastated, and the fact that there is little or no food, water or medical supplies, The Lionman Foundation and its’ partners are collectively gathering new or gently worn clothing, bottled water, medical supplies, toiletries and non perishable food items. Donations may be dropped off at either of the Universities. Efforts are currently being made to partner with area church’s to collect donations in this Sunday’s services as well. Students from both Universities are designing containers with personal messages of support in which they will package donated goods to be shipped immediately, free of charge, to Port Au Prince by partner United Parcel Service. Organizers HAVE NOT and ARE NOT accepting cash donations. To join in this effort, please contact Michael Baptiste of The Lionman Foundation via phone at (504) 258-7773 or via email at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
